What are we doing?

John Joseph has been feeding the homeless since 1980. Adi from Interfaith Community Service has been out in Tompkins Square Park three days a week rain or shine, sleet or snow, serving over 6,000 meals to the homeless.

Recently, a new landlord took over Adi's cooking space and asked him to move. Adi took loans out and spent almost 70,000 dollars to move his space. Recently the health department put a stop work order on his new space. In order to continue working there he needs to get his space up to health code with a hood, ventilation system etc.

What We Need

The cost of the cooking utilities he needs is $15,000.

Before we made this page we raised 5,000 dollars. Now we need another $10,000 to finish the construction, which has ALREADY BEGUN thanks to generous donations of people like you.
Please see the paypal video for a full rundown an tour of the space!
